In collaboration with a private landowner, presented this wetland mitigation project to the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) to help offset future wetland impacts associated with highway improvements in the Upper Yellowstone River Basin, Carbon County, Montana. Created over 20 acres of a wetland marsh complex that incorporates a variety of wetland habitats, including open water and persistent emergent, scrub/shrub and wet meadow communities. As project manager, coordinated and completed data collection and analyses, design, permitting, contract negotiations, oversaw all 2007 construction and revegetation phases, and continued to monitor and maintain through 2012.
